May 19 Satoko Fujii & Natsuki Tamura: Recent recordings by this highly-talented couple, pianist Satoko Fujii and trumpeter Natsuki Tamura.

May 26 Mamie Smith: This star of the stage, the recording studio and the silver screen was born 127 years ago today. We’ll hear recordings from her recording and film careers.

June 2 Listen Before You Buy: The cream of the crop of recent jazz and blues issues.

June 9 Ottawa International Jazz Festival: A preview of the many fine artists appearing at this year’s Ottawa Jazz Festival between June 24 and July 4. Will include Eric Boeren, Dave Brubeck, Etienne Charles, Anat Cohen, Bill Frisell,
Robert Glasper, Herbie Hancock, Roy Hargrove, Christine & Ingrid Jensen,
Joe Lovano, MOPDTK, Joshua Redman, David Sanborn and John Scofield.

June 16 Europe Calling: Recent jazz issues recorded in Europe by Ab Baars,
Sean Bergin, Salvatore Bonafede, Ian Carr, the ICP Orchestra, David Liebman,
New York Art Quartet, Evan Parker, Little Red Suitcase, Roberto Magris,
Tineke Postma, Don Rendell, Martin Taylor and Bo van der Graff.

June 23 Sonny Rollins & Don Cherry in Copenhagen: The 1963 Copenhagen concert by the Rollins/Cherry Quartet, with Henry Grimes and Billy Higgins.

June 30 Ottawa Bluesfest: CKCU’s blues guru John Tackaberry will give us an introduction to the blues and gospel artists who will be appearing at this year’s Ottawa Bluesfest between July 6 and July 18.
