April 11 Blue Notes’ European Tour: Recordings from the Blue Notes’ European tour of 1979, made in Belgium and Holland. Musicians include Johnny Dyani, Chris McGregor, Louis Moholo-Moholo,
Dudu Pukwana and Frank Wright.

April 18 Ken Colyer: English trumpeter Ken Colyer was born on this day in 1928, and died just before his sixtieth birthday. We’ll listen to a number of his influential New Orleans style recordings made between 1953 and 1972.

April 25 April 25: An historical survey, conducted by Co-Host Ron Steeds, of jazz and blues recordings made on April 25. Will include Wardell Gray,
Lonnie Johnson, Misha Mengelberg, Bud Powell, Memphis Slim and Lester Young.

May 2 Listen Before You Buy: The cream of the crop of recent jazz releases.Will include
Ken Aldcroft, Billy Bang, Chicago Underground Trio, Bill Cole, Extra Life, Jeff Gauthier, Thom Gossage, Jeff Hamilton, Neptune, October Trio,
William Parker, Post Jazz Mistress and Undivided.

May 7 Michael Moore: Ron Sweetman reviews six recent releases by alto saxophonist and clarinet player Michael Moore recorded in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 with sidemen Han Bennink, Eric Boeren, Tobias Delius, Ernst Glerum, Michael Vatcher,
Eric Vloeimans and Wolter Wierbos.

May 16 Cuban Jazz: Co-Host Jim Reil offers us a cross-section of current styles and players in Cuba.
